Fact Check: Image Does NOT Prove Zelenskyy Received Israeli Passport In 2016
Does a viral picture of what looks like an Israeli passport confirm that Volodymyr Zelenskyy became an Israeli citizen before he became president of Ukraine? No, that's not true: The image got the spelling of his last name wrong. The machine-readable text on the bottom of the first page didn't fit the internationally standardized form, either.

The video showing Volodymyr Zelensky near Kupyansk was not staged. The president's visit to the frontline city on December 12, 2025, was documented by official announcements, footage from the scene, and coverage by independent media, while OSINT analysts independently confirmed the location through geolocation. The clip promoted by propagandists as evidence of a "hologram" or green-screen effect is unrelated archival material from 2022, originally produced for a technology demonstration, and has no connection to Zelensky's address from the field.
Fact check: 78 times Zelensky has expressed gratitude to the US
President Donald Trump claimed on social media on Sunday that "UKRAINE 'LEADERSHIP' HAS EXPRESSED ZERO GRATITUDE FOR OUR EFFORTS" in relation to the war there.
Trump's claim is not even close to accurate.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed gratitude to the United States on dozens of occasions - 78 examples are listed below - since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of his country in early 2022. And Zelensky has repeatedly expressed gratitude to Trump personally since Trump was elected again last fall.

No, that's not true: Social media posts misattribute publicly known investment amounts about such a project. Talking to Lead Stories, the project's developer denied not only Zelenskyy's participation but also the presence of any direct government funding. Investment firm BlackRock, named in social media posts as one of the key investors, denied any involvement, too. Lead Stories found no credible sources linking Zelenskyy's personal money to the Ukrainian ski resort project.
