The 100-year partnership agreement between Ukraine and the UK was never "secret". The text of this document is easily available in open sources. Moreover, there is nothing in it that contradicts the agreement between Ukraine and the US on rare earth metals. Additionally, it was the US and the Trump administration, not Ukraine, that initiated the signing of the bilateral metals agreement - several weeks after the deal between Kyiv and London. Thus, neither Ukraine nor Zelenskyy "deceived" America; rather, the United States itself proposed such a deal and its terms to Ukraine.
The iconic photo circulated online after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the White House in a "military-style black sweatshirt."
Claim: A photograph authentically depicts then-British Prime Minister Winston Churchill visiting the White House in the U.S. during World War II wearing a "siren-suit.”
Rating: True
But the criticism of Zelenskyy's lack of traditional tie-and-jacket attire misses an obvious question: Why does he dress like that? As it turns out, the black tactical gear he wore to the Oval Office - much like his now-iconic olive-green fleeces and combat boots - is part of a growing visual shift in Ukraine, marked by the war's impact on the clothing industry and the military's now central place in Ukrainian culture.
I spoke to Illia Ponomarenko - a Ukrainian journalist who has covered the war, written for the Kyiv Post and The Kyiv Independent and authored I Will Show You How It Was: The Story of Wartime Kyiv - about the real meaning behind Zelenskyy's style. "The clothes are more than clothes," he said. "They are part of a culture of people who are involved in this war."
What was claimed: A video shows the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, calling Vladimir Putin a "butcher" and commenting on his "war crimes" during a press conference with US president Donald Trump.
Our verdict: This isn't quite right. Mr Macron referred to killings in the Ukrainian town of Bucha and mentioned war crimes, but did not describe President Putin as a "butcher".
False.
Tracking of Congressional spending on Ukraine shows it has appropriated nearly $183 billion since Russia's invasion. Analysis has shown that some of this funding ends up back in the United States, to restock weapons and defense supplies domestically that the U.S. has given to Kyiv. Some funding has not gone directly to Ukraine but to NATO defense partners.
True.
JD Vance did say that "military tools of leverage" could be used if Moscow did not cooperate with the terms of a negotiation that ended fighting between Russia and Ukraine. He did rule out U.S. deployment, saying "the president is very clear that whenever he walks into negotiation, everything is on the table."
While Vance claimed his words were "twisted," a full transcript shows he did not rule out military action.
A column in the Ukrainian online newspaper EuropeanPravda by lawyer Mykhaylo Soldatenko examining the wording and nature of the treaty on future security commitments that Ukraine plans to sign with its allies is being touted by Kremlin propagandists as an example of the West refusing to provide Ukraine with security guarantees. Soldatenko does not write that the G7 countries refuse to provide security guarantees, he simply points out that the word "guarantees" did not appear in the G7 leaders' declaration after the NATO summit. Ukraine is currently negotiating with the United States and Britain on a bilateral agreement on security guarantees.
The Azov brigade commander of the Ukrainian National Guard Denys Prokopenko with a call name Redys was not captured again. After the false information spread, the Azov press service published his photo and dedicated it to the National Ukrainian Flag Day.
UNESCO and UN specialists have recorded at least 270 Russian attacks on Ukrainian cultural sites, 116 of those were religious buildings.
